christmas eve
1-10: how bad is our soda addiction?
alec and i went to work today and i was section 10, he was section 1. we worked with paul, becca, cooper, matt d, alexis, etc. it was a little bit busy, alec was busier than i was. matt d. got a $100 tip from our manager's sister. i got better tips yesterday than today but i still made $160-ish for working for four hours and i only sold $965. they did their christmas gift exchange, i think kind of like a white elephant after we closed the restaurant. there were a bunch of people that participated. some back of house, front of house, moose's tooth and bear tooth employees. alec's cousin texted him and told him that we're opening presents at 8 am christmas morning. so early! it's because his other cousin has to go to work at 6pm and he needs to sleep in the afternoon. right now it's 4:30 am. alec and i were really tired from the night before because we stayed up so late so we fell asleep at 10 pm after work because moose's tooth closed at 8 pm. it was really nice. i'm so used to getting home from work at midnight or 1 am so it was a nice change. on new year's eve and day moose's tooth closes at 10 pm. i feel a little self-conscious about opening presents in the morning. the coffee hut is open from 6 am - 2 pm so you know i'm definitely going there before. alec and i both got gift cards from moose's tooth for christmas. we get to choose which one we want. the options are usually kaladi, south restaurant/spenard roadhouse/ginger, fredmeyer, costco, etc. last year we got 49th brewing co. gift cards. this year we went with south restaurant. we get to use it at a couple of restaurants because they own all of them, but i want to go to ginger because i've never been there. i've only been inside there once because snow city hr is upstairs in the same building but obviously didn't eat there. the other day one of our bartenders matt. g told me to say thank you to my mom because she tipped them a lot, for christmas. i was like, oh my god...
